Ankle Replacement at Great River Medical
KWQC-TV (NBC, West Burlington, Iowa)

Dr. L. Nathan Gause and his total ankle replacement patient Michelle Batley were featured in a segment discussing ankle replacement options. The story focused on the advancement in technology for joint replacement and how ankle replacements are now an option for patients with severe arthritic or problematic ankles.

Dr. Gause explains how there are a variety of procedures that can be taken to alleviate ankle pain before replacement surgery, but that ankle replacement surgery is now a viable alternative to ankle fusion that allows for great post-surgical mobility. Patient Michelle Batley explained the success she’s had with her ankle replacement including the impact the procedure has had on her quality of life and her comfort since the procedure.

The opinions of Dr. Gause and his patient are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Wright Medical.
